Vision, Mission, and Values

Our Vision:

IMPACT is about pointing people to Jesus who is the HOPE ABOVE THE CLOUDS!
Though this truth is all throughout God's Word, we particularly focus on these verses:

1 Peter 1:3

"Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In His great mercy He has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead."

Romans 15:13

"May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit."

The first goal Impact Christian Church is based on Jesus' words in Matthew 22:37-40 when He was asked what the greatest commandment in all of Scripture is.
In short, He said it is to love the Lord your God with all you've got! (with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength) We seek to live that out as individuals and as a church family and lead others to do the same.

Jesus also said in Matthew 22:37-40 that the second greatest commandment in all of Scripture is to love your neighbor as you love yourself, while in Luke 10 teaching us what this looks like through the parable of the Good Samaritan. We again seek to live that out as a church family and lead others to do the same.

We want to live by Jesus's example in Matthew 20:28, "the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many".
We also strive to fulfill the mandate given to Christians in 1 Peter 4:10, which says, "Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God’s grace in its various forms".

Our Values:

IN UNITY, we are LED BY THE SPIRIT

Romans 8:14: "those who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God."

Acts 1:8: “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”

IN UNITY, we are STANDING ON GOD’S WORD

2 Timothy 3:16–17: "All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work."

IN UNITY, we are GROWING DEEPER IN CHRIST

Ephesians 4:11-13: "It was He who gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers, to prepare God’s people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ."

IN UNITY, we are BUILDING HEALTHY RELATIONSHIPS

Romans 12:10: "Be devoted to one another in brotherly love. Honor one another above yourselves."

Ephesians 4:3: "Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace."

IN UNITY, we are PRAYING CONTINUALLY

Colossians 4:2: "Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful."

1 Thessalonians 5:17: "pray continually"

Missions

Being missional at Impact might mean going on a cross-cultural mission trip to somewhere like Africa or Mexico, or it might simply mean engaging in conversation with someone at the grocery store here in town.
The aim is to see ourselves as Christ's witnesses wherever we go, remembering that He wants us each to live out
1 Chronicles 16:24 through the power of the Holy Spirit:
"Declare His glory among the nations,
His marvelous works among all the peoples!"

Discipleship

Discipleship at Impact is the process of following Jesus, growing in faith, and helping others do the same. Understanding that we can't give away what we do
not have, we first seek to know, trust, and follow Him personally and then help one another do the same by living out
Proverbs 27:17 which says:
"As iron sharpens iron, so one friend sharpens another." This happens in various small group settings throughout the week as we seek to "spur one another on toward love and good deeds."
(Hebrews 10:24)

Community

Impact is a place where genuine people love each other in tangible ways. We value being transparent and authentic while doing life together. We seek to develop community in as many contexts as possible, from men's and women's events to activities for couples and families, to experiences aimed at students and young children.
In Philippians 2:4, Scripture tells us,
"Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but to the interests of others."
So we desire to build deep and lifegiving relationships as forever family.
